Giving Up While I am Ahead

For some reason this weekend, it felt like time to upgrade MT. I have been fighting comment spammers for weeks and was just sick of it. I really wanted to use the comment approval built into MT so I don't have any more online poker comments or the everso popular incest stories. So after a lot of false starts, like not paying attention and backing up my mt.cfg file (and I didn't know where mySQL was installed). I was successful. I even fixed an issue with my comments script that was driving me NUTS, on my browser a popup box would open and the main window would refresh. Now I see a popup box, and the main window stays pointed to my page :)

Since I was so successful with that endeavor, I thought ok I can whip out the knitting machine and get the papoose done in about an hour. Boy was that wrong, first I didn't have the instructions. Of course I can always figure out how to put it together.. HA I did have it put together but I made a HUGE mess of trying to complete the knitting. So I put the machine away and I am looking for anyone out there that has an extra LK150 manual, let me know I will happily pay for it.

On the knitting front the blanket is getting bigger but there really isn't much to show. I have about an inch completed on the Debbie Bliss Matinee jacket so not much progress there either. The matinee jacket is cute, very simple but cute.

Of course, the papoose is on hold until I get the machine figured out.

Ramblings

Well I think I have startitis, I had to start the pink matinee jacket for the baby. Needless to say I haven't finished the pink blanket yet ... everything I am working on is pink except for the papoose which isn't finished either. Hopefully, I will have finished them before she is born ;) or at least I promise not to start anything else.

I also promise I will never ever knit this scary child's ski mask even if it does come in pink.

The house is moving along, more pictures to come this weekend. Moving is going to be very painful, I really don't want to even look at my yarn stash. I think the name of the blog should be yarn-addict as I have a heck of a lot more yarn than finished objects. Everytime I go to the store it comes home with me like a lost puppy. I think I need to do what nownormaknits2.typepad.com is doing, with her stash documentation project. The downside to documenting the stash would be facing the fact that I will either not buy yarn for the next year or I will have to sell it. Neither option is very appealing.
