At Last an Update

Well I survived Stitches. The homework almost did me in. I think I was trying to remember what it was like to take those electives in college you don't have any interest in except that they are required for graduation. Needless to say I was working on my homework in the car on the way to Stitches and then until midnight the night before my next class, and in one of my classes on the break. But I managed to complete the homework before all my classes. Although I must say it was irritating when we didn't even use the swatches in one class.. GRRR

The market place was way too tempting. I picked up the yarn for an adorable cabled sweater from Imagiknit and ordered stainless steel yarn aka thread from habu. I don't know what I was thinking but the shirt that you knit is absolutely gorgeous and it got the better of me.

The classes were great! The sad thing is I kept hearing over and over again like some kind of sick mantra .... knit the swatch then was the swatch.... Ugh.. I don't think I can wait that long to start projects. Oh and the swatch needed to be at least six inches.... I thought four inches was good enough. However, in one of the classes the instructor passed around before and after swatches. I was almost sick to my stomach when I saw what happened to Iro. Well it expands, a lot. It was almost twice as wide, but it didn't really change in length. After I stared at that with a look of horror on my face, I was a convert. Of course, I just got 10 skeins in the mail and was planning to knit a sweater from the Simply Noro book. Now I have to knit it, wash it and then convert the pattern...

Still Moving

Good news I have an interior or I guess in this case exterior designer :) Becky is going to paint the place! So I only have to deal with the moving of files, entries, etc.

No great knitting news, just plugging away on my 2 sweaters.

Moving In

I am moving into my new home. Just like moving from one house to another I find myself procrastinating all of the necessary chores like moving my images, entries etc............ UGH not fun.. So expect activity over the next couple of weeks. That is if the commute (was stuck for 3 hours today in bayarea traffic), work and life will cooperate.

Oh forgot I also have to finish that darn Stitches West homework.. I completely agree with SequinK, that homework even knitting homework stinks.
