Happy New Year

As usual I am a little late :) and predictably my resolution is to be a better blogger in 2006.

Anyway, the holidays were a lot of fun. Miss A had a great time on her first Christmas, although she wasn't quite sure what to do with the presents. But she loved the boxes and ribbon, which made me paranoid. It's hard to relax when everything goes into the Miss A's mouth. Of course I have to post a picture of her modeling the handknit uggs and hat from a family friend.

I also had a great knitting Christmas (gotta love the knitting gifts).

The Touch Me is going to be Vintage Velvet, if I ever get around to knitting anything for myself. The envelope is a gift certificate to my favorite knitting store Imagiknit (my mom still spoils me).

The Touch Me is an awesome brown/black that will look wonderful as Vintage Velvet (definitely have to get my act in gear).

In actual, knitting news I have completed the first 1/2 of the braided neckpiece by Teva Durham.

It is a fun, easy, no brain knit. The construction makes it look a lot more interesting than the actual knitting. I really like the yarn that I chose for the scarf.

It's Karabella's Margrite Bulky a blend of cashmere and extra-fine merino. My only complaint about this yarn is that the center pull balls aren't really center pull. I keep ending up with a huge tangled mess that I end up re-winding. Being the queen of laziness, it's irritating that you have to wind a center pull ball.

What a beautiful little baby - she has the whole super model look going.

I ran into that center pull issue with another yarn, I found it was easier to just rewind all the balls, as none of them worked as they should have.

Was just curious... Do you think that the Knitting over the Edge book is worth purchasing really?? I have been debating on it. I want to and then I wonder if it is really worth it or not. So I don't buy it. Any opinions that you wish to share??
