Shhh...

I am blogging from work. I know it's bad but I figure I have been doing more than my fair share of work so it's ok. You can justify anything if you try.

Work has been busy to say the least and it seemed to get busier every time I tried looking around for another job. However, I prevailed and I found a couple. I even made my decision or had it made for me (long story there). The downside is that I don't get to transition until after February.... I don't know what is up with my group but they do not believe in short transition times (especially if they don't want you to leave).

Christmas shopping. HMMMM can you say I was ahead and now I am behind. I did all my online shopping and things are arriving daily. The bad news is that I only did HALF of my shopping online. Don't know what I was thinking! I can't exactly drag Miss. A out to the stores, at 7 months old her attention span doesn't last very long. In fact it usually ends right about the time I am going to get in line to pay for everything. Then you have the choice, do I leave or do I try to distract her and pray she doesn't burst into a full fledged temper tantrum.

To make a hectic holiday season even crazier, we are moving. What fun. We are so excited to get into our new house BUT not looking forward to the move at all............ I HATE packing.

I did find something that I absolutely love FreshPrep for people on the go who want healthy meals but don't have time to pull it all together. Speaking as a working mom, I don't have time to pull it together and I bring home take out from Gayles too often. I love Gayles but I highly recommend FreshPrep if you are in Santa Cruz. It's great no prep and clean up at home.

Finally knitting content. I started the braided neckpiece from Loop-d-Loop. It's going to be a Christmas present for someone. It's a really fast knit with interesting construction. I also worked on my clapotis. I know I should be working on knitting for other people right now but clapotis is great for just zoning out..

Oh, do show us the neckpiece when you've completed it.

Happy holidays!
