Light Bulb

Well I have been struggling with the lace edge for Smooch. Thankfully the knitalong from last year means there is a lot of help already out there. Even with the help the edge did not make any sense to me last night. I kept practicing the edge and ending up with quite a few less stiches than what the pattern says. Luckily I was only doing this on practice yarn. When I went to bed last night the lightblub finally came on and I got it :)

Onto the subject of my husbands sweater.. We are going with one of the patterns out of the Phildar Famille book. It's a ribbed crew neck sweater. This is definitely his style. My husband doesn't wear any cardigans nor does he like them. So the only reason he would wear it would be because I knit it which is wonderful and sweet but I would prefer that it was something in a style that he liked.

As to Pia. That pattern consists of way too many p2tog tbl. After studying the stitch I am going to try swatching it by wrapping the knit stitches the wrong way under the two stitches that are supposed to be p2tog tbl. On the purl row I am going to purl these stitches together normally. Theoretically this might work :) as the stitches are being twisted in the row below, but we shall see what the swatch says.
